Ms. Nancy Graham, age 74 of McDonough, Georgia passed away February 27, 2013. She was born in Auburn, Indiana to the late Carl Leo and Hazel Gibson Barnhart. Nancy was an involved member of Oakland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and played the organ. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and knitting.

Ronnie Edward Strickland, age 71, of Stockbridge, GA died February 27, 2013. He was born in Kannapolis, NC to the late Thomas Columbus and Mary Ellen Knowles Strickland.

Evelyn Elliott, age 88, of McDonough, GA died March 2, 2013. She was born in Atlanta. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the First Baptist Church, Jonesboro.

Henry Veronica Randall O’Barr
Mrs. Henry Veronica Randall O’Barr, age 97, of Mesquite, Texas formerly of Henry County, passed away March 3, 2013. Mrs. O’Barr was born in Livonia the daughter of the late Clarence Richard and Rilla Zuella Pierce Randall. She was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta. Mrs. O’Barr enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, flowers, pictures and making cakes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dewey O’Barr; son, Ronnie Randall O’Barr; daughter, Jimmie Davidson and two great grandchildren.
Survivors are her son, Gene and Ann O’Barr of McDonough; grandchildren, Ricky O’Barr, Barry O’Barr, Bryan O’Barr, Dale Davidson, Lindel Davidson, Debbie Meeks, Fay Davidson, Cindy Davidson and Ronnie Hambrick; 14 great grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Cawthon of Lavonia and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret Lucille McGarity Fischer
Mrs. Margaret Lucille McGarity Fischer, age 93, of Colorado Springs, CO formerly of Henry County passed away March 4, 2013. Mrs. Fischer was born in McDonough the daughter of the late Homer and Nora Sherwood McGarity. Mrs. Fischer worked as a beauty consultant for 34 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, doing needle point, traveling and before her declining health enjoyed cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fischer and eleven siblings.
Survivors are her children, Gene McKinley of Warner Robins; daughter, Sheila Bufkin of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Joshua, Megan and Corey.

Patsy "Pat" Martin, age 87, of Rex, GA died March 4, 2013. She was born in Calera, AL to the late Charles H. and Ruth White Woodard. She was a member of the Stockbridge Presbyterian Church and retired from JC Penney as the manager of the Credit and Catalog Department. Pat volunteered with the Auxillary at Henry Medical Center for 17 years. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Martin and son Donald E. Martin.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Milton McGarity, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Eric, Rebecca, Hannah, Michael, Katie, Brandon and Alana; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Harold Ray Brown
Harold Ray Brown, age 81, of Locust Grove, GA passed away March 4, 2013. Ray was born in Atco, GA the son of the late Hayden and Leslie Mullinax Brown. Ray retired from US Navy with 20 plus years of service and retired from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department with 15 plus years of service. He was a member of the Riverdale Masonic Lodge and the Jonesboro VFW. Ray was very proud of serving his country and devoted a lot of time serving veterans and their recognition. He enjoyed traveling, the mountains, and playing golf. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Brown.
Survivors are his wife, Barbie S. Brown of Locust Grove; daughters, Deborah Layson (Ernie) of Stockbridge, Brenda Brown (Mike) of Stone Mountain, Patricia “Sam” Jones (Jim) of Seattle, WA; 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Ronald Odell Duncan
Mr. Ronald Odell Duncan, age 70 of Hampton, Georgia passed away March 6, 2013. He was born in Abingdon, VA to the late Garnett Odell and Dora Frances Nunley Duncan. Ron served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired over-the-road truck driver. He was a faithful member of McDonough Christian Church, where he was in charge of caring for the church grounds. He also enjoyed being around and taking care of people.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Duncan of Hampton; children, Craig Duncan of Bristol, TN, David (Amy) Duncan of Cartersville, Phil (Lisa) Cowan of Bristol, TN, Tony (Robin) Cowan of Daytona Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Mrs. Dale Cox Mason, age 97, of Locust Grove, GA passed away March 6, 2013. Mrs. Mason was born in Locust Grove, the daughter of the late George Napoleon and Agnes Maude Combs Cox. Mrs. Mason enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking, gardening, singing in the choir and being active in the church activities. Mr. Ramon Eladio Nuñez, age 49, of Hampton, GA passed away March 6, 2013. Eladio was born in the Domican Republic. He worked as a medical sales representative. Eladio was a member of Saint Phillip Benizi. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and swimming. He was known for his loving personality and he never met a stranger.

Ruth Craig Godsey
Ruth Craig Godsey, 89, of Riverdale passed away March 10, 2013. She was a Godly woman who raised her family in church and taught them about Jesus. She was a helpful generous provider with a servant’s heart, “A typical Martha.” She was an excellent cook and always willing to share. She was retired from Sears Roebuck.
She is survived by her daughters Brenda G. Appleton of Riverdale, Janice G. Peavy of Senoia and Edythe L. Winslett of Riverdale; grand-children Russell Fowler (Diana) of Senoia, Rebecca Dean of Stockbridge and Mark Appleton (Theresa) of Danville, NH; great-grandchildren Kristen Dean, Luke Fowler, Lydia Fowler, Belle Dean, Jonathan Appleton and Katherine Appleton.
