Main Street McDonough and the McDonough Merchants continue their monthly Ladies Night Out around the McDonough Square this Thursday, March 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. Participating shops and restaurants offer prizes and/or special discounts for guests. Shoppers may also register for the gift basket giveaway. Scarlett’s Retreat Day Spa and G Gallery Interiors will host an “Oz the Great and Powerful” party for the March Ladies Night Out. Guests are invited to dress as their favorite Oz character and will receive a free OPI nail polish while supplies last.

  A Saint Patrick’s Day celebration will be held on Saturday, March 16 in downtown McDonough. Special kids’ activities will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The Welcome Center will become the Shamrock Salon with merchants offering nail painting and crazy leprechaun hair. There are many other activities scheduled including face painting, spin art, tattoos, free balloons and digging for gold on the Square. Irish fare such as corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, shepherd’s pie, corned beef quesadillas and specialty drinks will be on the menu at participating restaurants.
