Mr. Herbert McLemore, age 81, of Hampton, GA passed away January 24, 2013. Mr. McLemore was born in Sumner, GA the son of the late David Hazard and Eva Lottie Williams McLemore, Sr. Mr. McLemore served his country in the United State Air Force. He was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church and a member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge where he had just received his 50 year pin. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, traveling, gardening and was known for his famous tomatoes. He was preceded in death by several siblings and his first wife, Nina Ferguson McLemore.
Survivors are his wife, Bettie McLemore of Hampton; children, Pam McLemore of McDonough, Rita and David Camp of McDonough, Stanley and Tammy McLemore of Hampton, Lynn and Freddie Whitt of Stockbridge, Debbie and Billy Wommack of Byron, and Kay Park of Hawkinsville; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Perry of Colorado Springs, Eva Horne of Warner Robins, James Henry McLemore of Orlando, Horace Carter of Albany, David McLemore Jr. of Plains and Louvine Adams of Plains.

Stanley Graham Uber
Mr. Stanley Graham Uber, age 62, of McDonough, GA passed away January 24, 2013. Mr. Uber was born in Minneapolis, MN the son of the late Glenn Graham and Elizabeth Ann Noeth Uber. He worked for FAA as a computer specialist. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Mr. Uber served his country in the US Navy from 1969-1973.
Survivors are his wife, Rebecca Uber of McDonough; children, Kelley Sterner (Brian) of Gainesville, Cathy Knuchel (Brian) of Cartersville, Ted Sowards (Kerrie) of Dayton, OH, and Angela Sowards of Riverdale; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Richard Uber (Cindy) of Adairsville and John Uber (Sherrie) of Roswell; several nieces and nephews.

Miss Rajeswari “Raji” Panuganti, age 51 of McDonough, Georgia passed away January 28, 2013. She was born in India to Devara Tupili and the late Devara Panuganti. Raji was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed animals, plants, her dogs and was a people person.
Survivors include her fiancé, Eric Burke of McDonough; daughters, Erica and Nina Burke; mother, Devara Panuganti; siblings, Sarada Panuganti and Prasad “Bob” Panuganti all of McDonough; her beloved Boxer, Odin.

Charles E. Kersey
Mr. Charles E. Kersey, age 51 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away January 29, 2013. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and worked for the State of Georgia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove where he was involved with the Iron Man Ministry. He once was a member of Rotary International while living in Sandersville. Charles enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his wife and children. He was a very loving and mentoring father to his children. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Viola and John Henry Kersey and Winifred Feltman.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Kathy Harris Kersey of Locust Grove; children, Amanda, Jacob, Chase and Hope; parents, Dot and Charlie Kersey of Wapwallopen, PA; grandfather, Johnnie Feltman of Jonesboro; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held February 1 from the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove. Rev. Craig Bowers officiated. Barbara Haag Parente
Mrs. Barbara Haag Parente of Locust Grove, GA died January 31, 2013. Barbara was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey on September 11, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Helen Welle Haag and Captain William John Haag, (USN, Ret).
She is survived by her husband John and her daughter Suzanne, son-in-law, Dennis Carter and two grandchildren, Sophia and Logan Carter, a sister, Nancy Haag Dischert and nephews Tim Dischert of Doylestown, PA and Timothy J. Murphy Jr. of Milwaukee, WI and Thomas K Murphy of Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Richard Raymond Cook
LTC Richard Raymond Cook, age 84, of Hampton, GA passed away January 31, 2013. He was born in Horton, Kansas the son of the late Raymond Finley and Beulah Bell Losey Cook. He served his country in the US Army for 21 years. After retiring he worked for Kawneer in purchasing, and Humboldt Wedag in purchasing and expediting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, playing chess, singing in the choir, and wood working in his shop. He was an active member of Hampton First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Ralph Cook.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Agnes M. Cook of Hampton; children, Richard C. Cook of Atlanta, Chester R. Cook (Susan) of Alpharetta, Cheryl Cook Trail of Kennesaw, Jeffrey L. Cook of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Chelsea (Matt), Kevin, Chase, Collin and Cameron; great grandchildren, Brayden and Bailey.

Elsie Mae Hodges Chaplin
Elsie Mae Hodges Chaplin, age 87, of Stockbridge, GA died January 31, 2013. She was born in Walnut Grove to the late Richard Preston Guthrie and Gaynell Castleberry Guthrie. Elsie was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Thomas Hodges, Robert Lee Chaplin, and son, Richard Preston Hodges.
Elsie is survived by her children: Arlin and Sandra Hodges, Covington; Janet and Tom Jenkins, Tucker; Wanda Hodges Cardell, Stockbridge; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mirah “Annette” Newman, age 77, of McDonough, GA passed away on January 31, 2013. Annette was a graduate and employee of Atlanta Area Technical School from which she retired in the late 1980’s. She was a long time employee of Woolco and Woolworth of Atlanta. She was a cancer survivor for a little over 19 years after losing a lung to cancer in 1993. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry E. Bishop.
She is survived by her sister, June Jenkins of LaGrange, her daughters, Lisa B Garrison of East Point, Anna Cannon of McDonough and Rebecca McClelland of Forest Park, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held at Liberty Baptist Church of Fayetteville on February 9 with Pastor Randy Wood officiating.
