The City of Stockbridge has
announced the appointment of David A. Milliron as its new City
Administrator. The Mayoral appointment was confirmed Monday
night by the City Council.

For the past year, Mr.
Milliron has served Stockbridge as the City Treasurer and Chief
Fiscal Officer responsible for finance and economic development.
He has over 20 years of success in contributing to strategic
planning, leadership, and problem resolution for city government
and private industry corporations.
“The City of Stockbridge
is pleased to be able to appoint a person with such a diverse
background and strong leadership credentials,” said Stockbridge
Mayor Mark Alarcon. “Mr. Milliron has a great reputation as
somebody who gets things done and I know residents will
appreciate how swiftly he will act on the policies of the City
Council to move this city forward. There is no question in my
mind he’s the right person for the job.”
Prior to coming to the
City of Stockbridge, Mr. Milliron served as an elected
Commissioner and Mayor Pro-Tem of the City of Avondale Estates
in DeKalb County, where he also served as president of the
DeKalb Municipal Association representing the county’s 10
municipal governments.
The Mayor and City
