For the past year, Mr. Milliron has served Stockbridge as the City Treasurer and Chief Fiscal Officer responsible for finance and economic development. He has over 20 years of success in contributing to strategic planning, leadership, and problem resolution for city government and private industry corporations.

“The City of Stockbridge is pleased to be able to appoint a person with such a diverse background and strong leadership credentials,” said Stockbridge Mayor Mark Alarcon. “Mr. Milliron has a great reputation as somebody who gets things done and I know residents will appreciate how swiftly he will act on the policies of the City Council to move this city forward. There is no question in my mind he’s the right person for the job.”

Prior to coming to the City of Stockbridge, Mr. Milliron served as an elected Commissioner and Mayor Pro-Tem of the City of Avondale Estates in DeKalb County, where he also served as president of the DeKalb Municipal Association representing the county’s 10 municipal governments.

The Mayor and City Council also made the following officer appointments at its Monday night meeting:

•City Clerk: Rhonda Blackmon

•City Attorney: Bill Linkous and Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP

•City Auditor: Mauldin & Jenkins

•Municipal Court Chief Judge: Santana T. Flanigan
