Conservative Breakfast Club The Conservative Breakfast Club will meet on Saturday, January 5 at Golden Corral, 1755 Jonesboro Road in McDonough. Arrive at 8 a.m., fill your plate and seat yourself in the meeting room. The meeting will begin about 8:30 until 10 a.m. This week long time Republican Camilla Moore will share her wisdom. They hope to see conservatives of all sorts there, whether Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Independent. Come let us reason together as did our founding fathers two hundred years ago. We are called for such a time as this.
NAMI Meeting National Alliance on Mental Illness meetings are held at Jodeco Road United Methodist Church every Thursday night from 7 - 8:30 p.m. sharp. Cub Scouts Faith Baptist Church, located at 346 Highway 138 E (Corner of Highway 138 and Millers Mill Road) in Stockbridge, is now sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 346. Spring Soccer Registration Henry County Spring season soccer registration is open for boys and girls ages u3-u19 and Adults Over 30 online at www.hcsa.org. Onsite registration is available at the Mt. Heritage Writers Group The Heritage Writers Group has new meeting times. They now meet the first and third Saturdays of each month from 2 until 4 p.m. All writers are invited to visit. Bring two pages double spaced of something you have written to read. They have a lot of fun, and get a lot done. Meetings are held in the Educational Building behind the Church of Christ, 400 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.
Families Anonymous Families Anonymous, a world wide Twelve-Step self-help support program for relatives and friends concerned about and affected by substance abuse or behavioral problems of a loved one, has announced the start of a new group in McDonough. This new group will meet at Wesley Way United Methodist Church each Monday at 7 p.m. No dues or fees are required and they use first names only at the meetings to preserve individual anonymity.
