“It is a true honor to
accept this award. It would not have been possible without the
guidance and opportunities provided by my director, Natalie
Wilkerson,” said Hickey. “I, along with the wonderful team of
individuals I work with, am truly dedicated to patient safety
and the overall patient experience. We are committed to
providing timely and accurate information to all staff members
interacting with patients and their families. It is a privilege
to come to Piedmont Henry and make a difference every day.”
Through the use of the
patient management application created with Datawatch
Corporation’s information optimization software, Piedmont Henry
Hospital is able to access data which provides a complete
understanding of the processes that impact a patient’s
experience. With this information, Piedmont Henry has enhanced
its ability to measure and improve patient experiences.
“Ventana Research is
proud to have selected Patricia Hickey and Piedmont Henry
Hospital for this award, recognizing the innovative approach
taken in using Datawatch’s Information Optimization platform to
provide users across the hospital a more accurate and
interactive view of patient information,” said Mark Smith, CEO
and Chief Research Officer for Ventana Research.
Hickey is an eight-year
employee of Piedmont Henry Hospital. She has worked in the
Information Technology field for 11 years and has 10 years
clinical experience.
