The Community Cares Christmas Toy Shop hosted by Connecting Henry, Inc. was a huge success and provided toys and gifts for 1,000 area children in need this holiday season.

  This was the second year for the Community Cares Toy Shop, which was a new version of the former Connecting Henry Christmas program, that for many years has helped to provide Christmas gifts and other resources for families in need. This year’s program was made possible thanks to the generosity of donors and volunteers who made a difference in the lives of many families right here in Henry County.

  Volunteers did everything from setting up the toy store, to acting as personal shoppers and hosts, to baking treats, wrapping presents and cleaning up afterward. Volunteers spent hours creating a one-of-a-kind toy shop using Christmas lights to serves as giant illuminated snowflakes, resulting a in a magical experience for both children and adults in the shop and the children’s playroom.
