Share The Joy Day will be held Saturday, December 1 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. This annual event has been held for over 20 years in Henry County. Volunteers, parents, and Henry Special Olympics Parks and Recreation Athletes stand at major intersections throughout Hampton, McDonough, Locust Grove, and Stockbridge and hold collection buckets and signs to collect money for local programs. The money is used to buy uniforms, take the athletes to State Games competitions, and for training.

  If you are unable to come and help or give on Saturday, you can still make a tax-deductible donation to: HCPR Special Olympics, 10 Cleveland Street, Locust Grove, GA 30248 and put Share the Joy for the memo line. Look for them around the community Saturday. Rain or Shine, they will be there. There will be two shifts at each location; 9 -12 and 12 - 2:30.
