Hudson Bridge Wal-Mart
location in Stockbridge, GA recognized the hard work and efforts
put forth by teachers in their community by honoring teachers
from Eagle’s Landing Middle School. Twenty faculty names were
drawn by students (Betty Jackson and Jason Selvaraj), Henry
County Board of Education Vice Chair Mr. Erik Charles, and two
representatives from the Hudson Bridge Wal-Mart (Shante White
and Chun West) and the winners received a $50.00 Wal-Mart gift
card. Wal-Mart started this program with the knowledge that many
educators reach into their own pockets each year to provide
supplies for their classrooms and this was their way of
acknowledging and honoring ELMS teachers.

Dr. Earlene Crump,
Principal of Eagle’s Landing Middle School, offered Wal-Mart her
sincere appreciation and applauded her faculty and staff
stating, “If we really embrace the idea that it takes a village
to raise a child; we have to continue to reach out to our
community. Henry County is a great place to live and work. We
have a community that supports education and understands the
importance of great teachers. Eagle’s Landing Middle School has
a vibrant history full of accomplishments by remarkable students
and dedicated teachers. Thank you Wal-Mart for being a part of
our community and showing your support both in words and in
deeds; we’re sincerely appreciative of your efforts.”
Mr.
Charles thanked Co-Manager Shante White and Human Resources and
Personnel director Chun West for taking the time to personally
come out and show appreciation and stated, “I am thankful for
partners such as Wal-Mart for stepping up to the plate and
recognizing the importance of education in our community.”
