Hampton Events The Hampton Depot will be haunted on October 26 - 27 from 7- 10 p.m. each night. Tickets are $3. This is a DDA and Main Street Program. On November 3 at 7 p.m. Abraham Lincoln Lives in Historic Hampton. Tickets are $10 each. Be entertained and informed by Nick Nickerson as he tells the life of Abe Lincoln at Speak Easy Book Store, 5 East Main Street, Hampton. On November 8 beginning at 6:30 p.m. there will be Hampton Idol auditions. Present your best holiday song acapella before a panel of judges. Three semi-finalists will be chosen that evening to have a sing-off before the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the Hampton Depot Park on Thanksgiving evening. The winner will be determined by popular vote and the judges’ decision. The soloist will then perform at Hampton's Christmas at Home celebration on December 6. Genelogical Society Meeting The Genealogical Society of Henry and Clayton Counties, Inc. cordially invites you to their meeting Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. in the Educational Building, First Baptist Church of McDonough, GA. The speaker will be Dr. William J. Morton and his program will be ”The Story of Georgia’s Boundaries, A Meeting of History & Geography.” This meeting is free and open to the public. Cub Scouts Faith Baptist Church, located at 346 Highway 138 E (Corner of Highway 138 and Millers Mill Road) in Stockbridge, is now sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 346. Treats but no Tricks Fall Festival On Wednesday, October 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. the Open Range Church in Henry County will have their Treats but no Tricks Fall Festival. Turkey Shoot and Trunk-R-Treat Oakland Baptist Church will sponsor a Turkey Shoot on October 20 and 27 and November 3 and 10 at 9 a.m. $5 per shot. They will have a Trunk-R-Treat on October 27 from 2 - 4 p.m. Their Chili-cook off and Cake Walk will be on November 3 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. They will have Crafts for Holiday Hearts on November 10. 5th Annual Fall Family Fun Fest Bethel UMC is hosting their 5th Fall Family Fun Fest, October 27, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. There will be lots of great games, a hayride and bonfire, a haunted house, and affordable food. Upward Basketball Henry Baptist Church is now offering kids currently in 1st-6th grades an opportunity to participate in their Upwards basketball league. Early registration is until November 9.
